Based on 25 years of meditation experience, I incorporate mindfulness into my therapeutic approach, informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the Zen Buddhism of Thich Nhat Hanh. Mindfulness is commonly defined as 'awareness of the present moment' and is used in therapy to identify the important thoughts and feelings that underlie our personal narrative. By looking deeply in this manner, we learn to accept what is helpful and necessary in the service of valued action, letting go of what is not. Hence the Insightful Way.
